Rocky's Reading Club for Grades 2-3

Calling all book lovers! If you have a big appetite for reading and love sharing great books with friends, this club is for you! Join us as we dive into three exciting Flat Stanley adventures by Jeff Brown. Each week's reading will launch us into hands-on games, creative projects, STEM challenges, mysteries, and unforgettable adventures inspired by the stories.

Some reading will take place between class meetings, so this club is best suited for enthusiastic readers who enjoy reading at home. Our goal is to celebrate the joy of reading—not assign busywork—as we laugh, imagine, create, and explore together. Best of all, every student will receive and keep a copy of each book we read to build their own home library!

Is This Club a Fit for My Child?
✅ Yes, if: Your child reads completely independently, gets excited about choosing books, and looks forward to discussing stories and doing hands-on projects with peers.
❌ No, if: Your child is still learning how to read, struggles significantly with comprehension, or views reading as a chore. (We love supporting all literacy journeys, but this specific club is an enrichment celebration rather than an instructional intervention!)
